The Band

Bad Marilyn is a Swiss/Finnish heavy metal band founded in 2023 by a group of seasoned musicians with decades of combined experience on stages across Europe and the United States. Blending the melodic power of classic European metal with the intensity of various influences, the band has quickly established itself as one of the most promising new acts on the European metal scene. Built around soaring melodies, crushing riffs, cinematic keyboards, and energetic live performances, Bad Marilyn delivers music that is both technically accomplished and emotionally charged. The band's songs combine memorable hooks with modern heaviness, creating a sound that appeals to fans of melodic metal while maintaining an aggressive edge.

The band's debut album, Eye of the Snake, was produced, mixed, and mastered by renowned producer Dennis Ward, known for his work with Helloween, Pink Cream 69, Firewind, and Gotthard. Released in 2024, the album introduced Bad Marilyn's signature blend of power metal, heavy metal, and other elements through tracks such as “I Die Inside,” “Children of Tomorrow,” and the title track “Eye of the Snake.”

Within months of their debut, Bad Marilyn gained international attention through online media coverage, interviews, and a rapidly growing streaming audience. The band amassed more than 250,000 Spotify streams shortly after their first releases and earned recognition by reaching the semifinals of the Wacken Metal Battle, one of Europe's most prestigious competitions for emerging metal bands. Since 2026, Finnish vocalist Nitte Valo has taken over the lead vocal duties, bringing her own powerful voice and international experience to Bad Marilyn's evolving sound. The new album Frozen Crown will be released in 2027 with 12 new songs, showing that the collaboration between Nitte, Sammy, Andri, David, Felbi, and Dennis Ward has proven to be a step up in the band’s endeavour. With a combination of memorable songwriting, high-level musicianship, and an energetic stage presence, Bad Marilyn continues to build momentum both in Switzerland and Finland, and abroad. As the band expands its reach through new releases and live performances, it remains committed to delivering modern melodic metal that is powerful, uplifting, and unmistakably its own.
